We’re delighted to be teaming up to bring you fun, interactive first aid sessions designed especially for children — helping them build confidence and learn what to do in an emergency in a safe, supportive environment.
As this event is taking place during term time, these sessions are particularly aimed at home-educated children and those who are unable to attend mainstream education.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to take part in structured learning in a supportive, external environment — and for parents and carers to enjoy a little time to step back and recharge, knowing their children are engaged in something meaningful and valuable.
10:00am – 11:00am
- Learning how to call 999 and stay safe
- Awareness of minor injuries
- Recovery position
- Fun mascots and hands-on activities
[Adults are asked to stay for this session. You’re very welcome to relax in the café area and enjoy a well-deserved break while remaining on site.]
11:30am – 12:30pm
- Call 999 and clearly explain an emergency
- Care for bumps, burns, breaks and bleeding
- Carry out basic CPR
- Help someone who is choking
[Parents/carers are welcome to leave during this session, as long as we have emergency contact details.]
Age guidance is flexible. If you feel your child would be comfortable in the older group, that’s absolutely fine. The age ranges are simply a guide based on content. Please note that children under 6 may find the CPR mannequins more challenging.
