Our Story: From Social Care to Emberiza Training

In 2018, Keith Bunting founded Keith Bunting Social Care with a vision to make a difference in people's lives. Over the years, the business grew steadily, navigating challenges with determination and care.

After completing two years of college studying Forensics and welcoming a new family member, the next generation joined the business. While building the first website from scratch, university began — a four-year degree in Health Care with Health Sciences, now entering the fourth year of the journey.

As roles within the business evolved, we knew it was time for a rebrand. Emberiza Training Services Ltd reflects the true nature of what we've become — a genuine family business.

The name itself tells our story: Emberiza is the genus of birds known as Buntings. It's a tribute to our family name, a nod to our roots, and a symbol of connection. This rebrand wasn't about changing who we are — it was about being honest about what we've built together, and giving ourselves space to grow in new directions.

New Qualifications, New Goals

After several years working in administration, 2025 became a turning point. Comprehensive training followed — the Award in Education and Training was completed, and in December 2025, we became a fully qualified First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, and AED instructor. It's a qualification earned through dedication, and one we're proud to use every day.

Next on the horizon? Pet First Aid training. Because life-saving skills aren't just for people — our furry family members deserve the same care and attention.

Emberiza Mini's — Making First Aid Accessible

We launched Emberiza Mini's because we believe essential first aid skills shouldn't break the bank. This is our community-focused branch, offering affordable family first aid classes in small, friendly, local sessions. No fancy venues, no corporate jargon — just real people learning real skills in a warm, welcoming environment.

It's about making confident parents and equipped families accessible to everyone, regardless of budget. That's the Emberiza Mini's mission.

Behind the Scenes: Our Four-Legged Team

No story about Emberiza would be complete without introducing our office team. Meet Rex — a one-year-old Labrador Retriever with seemingly endless enthusiasm, a talent for chaos, and a troubling habit of stealing stationery when we're not looking. Then there's Maisie, our three-year-old Labradoodle, who works as our official emotional support supervisor with the dedication and focus the role demands.

And finally, our 14-year-old Yorkshire Terrier — the remote worker. This wise little soul operates from the desk chair, where responsibilities include strategic sleeping and strategic eating. Equally important to the business, we'd argue.

Rex Maisie The remote office dog

If you're emailing or messaging us, there's a very good chance one dog is on top of the keyboard, one is under the desk, and another is judging us from the chair. That spirit of joy and togetherness is at the heart of everything we do.
