Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern all first aid training services provided by Emberiza Mini’s to the client. By booking or attending a course, you agree to these Terms.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be made through our website or via invoice arrangement

  • a deposit of 40% will be taken at the point of booking to confirm the booking

  • Full payment including the deposit is due within the arranged time with the client via writing.

  • A booking is confirmed only when a deposit has been received and a confirmation email issued.

  • Prices are subject to change but confirmed bookings will not be affected.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

By the Client

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled course date will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made within 3 days or less of the scheduled course date will incur a 40% cancellation fee, equivalent to the deposit paid.

  • Cancellations made the day before or on the day of the course will incur an 80% cancellation fee of the total course fee.

  • Delegate substitutions may be made at any time at no additional cost. Please notify us in advance so that registration records and certification details can be updated accordingly.

By the Trainer

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, insufficient enrolment, emergency).

  • Clients will be offered a full refund or a place on a rescheduled course.

4. Attendance & Certification

  • Delegates must attend the full duration of the course to receive certification.

  • Certification is subject to successful completion of all required assessments.

  • Certificates remain valid for the duration stated on the certificate and are issued at our discretion.

5. Delegate Responsibilities

  • Delegates must wear appropriate clothing suitable for practical activities.

  • Delegates must disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation.

  • The Trainer may refuse participation if a delegate’s behaviour, fitness, or condition creates a safety risk.

6. Health & Safety

  • Practical first aid tasks may involve physical activity, floor work, or close contact.

  • Delegates participate at their own risk and must follow all safety instructions.

  • The Trainer is not liable for injuries caused by unsafe delegate behaviour, failure to follow instructions, or pre-existing medical conditions.

7. Training Location & Equipment

  • For on-site training, the Client must provide a safe and suitable training environment, including:

    • adequate space

    • clean flooring for practical sessions

    • electricity, seating, and other required facilities

  • Any damaged equipment caused by misuse may be charged to the Client.

8. Liability

  • The Trainer accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury except where caused by proven negligence.

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses.

9. Use of Materials

  • All training materials, manuals, and documents remain the intellectual property of the Trainer.

  • They may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without written permission.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal data is collected solely for administering courses, issuing certificates, and meeting regulatory requirements.

  • Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties except awarding bodies or where legally required.

11. Unforeseen Circumstances

  • We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, natural disasters, or transport disruption.

12. Complaints

Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the training date. We aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly.
