Our TQUK Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course gives you the skills and confidence to deal with workplace emergencies. Taught by experienced trainers, this practical course covers essential first aid techniques and leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Course Overview

The TQUK Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course is a 3-day qualification designed for anyone who has been appointed as a workplace first aider or who wants to gain the skills needed to respond to a wide range of medical emergencies.

The course covers essential first aid topics, including assessing an incident, CPR and AED use, choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, shock, and other common workplace injuries and illnesses.

There are no formal entry requirements, although learners should be able to take part in practical activities and have a basic understanding of English.

On successful completion of the course and assessments, learners will receive the TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work, a nationally recognised qualification that is valid for three years.

Course Content

  • Unit 1: Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
  • Understand the role and responsabilities of a first aider
  • Be able to assess an incident
  • Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
  • Unit 2: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace
  • Be able to conduct a secondary survey
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected injuries to bones, muscles and joints
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injury
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with burns and scolds
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with an eye injury
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness

In-House Training

This course can be delivered at your premises for groups. In-house training is a cost-effective way to train your team in a familiar environment with flexible scheduling.

Group size: up to 12 learners per session

We travel to your location across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex
