TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
Our TQUK Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course gives you the skills and confidence to deal with workplace emergencies. Taught by experienced trainers, this practical course covers essential first aid techniques and leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Course Overview
The TQUK Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a 1-day qualification providing learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge, and understanding to enable them to provide appropriate care and manage life threatening conditions and injuries.
Learners will have the knowledge and skills required to provide emergency first aid in an occupational setting in a prompt, safe and effective manner to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid Regulations.
There are no formal entry requirements, although learners should be able to take part in practical activities and have a basic understanding of English.
On successful completion of the course and assessments, learners will receive the TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work, a nationally recognised qualification that is valid for three years.
Course Content
- Understand the role and responsabilities of a first aider
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
- Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
